Dear Supporters of Jacob's Run for a Reason,

It is with heavy hearts that we have chosen not to host the event this Fall. Jacob's little sister has life threatening allergies to several foods and we have chosen to spend this year educating ourselves on how to manage these allergies and keep her safe. We appreciate the many inquiries about this year's event and are touched by the communities support of the Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood program (SUDC). Many thanks for helping to raise awareness of SUDC and your continued support! Sincerely, Michelle Baker & Family

Jacob's Run for a Reason is an event Michelle, Ben and Jordan Baker host in honor of their son and brother Jacob. Jacob will always be remembered as an incredible little boy. For the much too short time he was here with us, Jacob was curious, intelligent, intuitive, full of life, heartwarming, delightful, compassionate and pure joy. Jacob was a mesmerizing twelve month old who touched the hearts and changed the lives of all who came in contact with him. He was truly amazing. On the morning of October 30, 2005, at 1 year and 11 days of age, Jacob died in his sleep. The cause of his tragic death was listed as Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC).
